This just in from Jerry & Jane Mullen:

We've finally gotten some info from the parade committee. All previous info is out. We do NOT meet at Harrington's on Sunday!

The parade is at 11 AM on Saturday, November 6th. The parade steps off at 11 AM, and they are saying that we should arrive and park at 10 to 10:30! Don't believe it. Try to get there by 10:15. Parking is along the left side (going in) of two little lanes just down the hill from the entrance to Camel's Hump Middle School. These are called Burnett Court and Brown's Court. Also, you can park in the parking lot for a ball field in there.

All of the re-enactor units including Hanaford's will form up along what the benighted folks in Richmond think is the Jericho Road. Enlightened folks in Jericho refer to it as Brown's Trace. The starting line is at a yellow traffic sign about 100 yards up from the four corners in Richmond.( That's the corner with the traffic light.) Veterans may be formed ahead of us. Other re-enactor units will be behind. After marching to a position just north of the Round church we will stay in formation during the ceremonies, but there will be a pause while other units come marching in, so there are warming huts and port-o-lets there. After the ceremonies, there is a demonstration area behind the band shell across the road, and Hanaford's militia with a drummer, should stand by to put on an educational program similar to the one we put on at Ethan Allen Homestead. This willl close no later than 2:30, and since other re-enactor groups may wish to put on programs as well, Hanaford's will not be involved for that entire time. There is a 20th century military demonstration area and exhibit area adjacent to the re-enactor area that may be interesting. I picked up six good flints at Fort Massac Rendezvous last week and I will bring along several basic loads (30 rounds @) of musket ammo. We've gotten a complete set of patterns for military coveralls, from size 30 to size 48. We also have a seamstress or sewer or something like that to put 'em together, so if you can get us waist and inseam measurements, we can get started on putting these together. Can't do it before this parade though.
